Lisbon has a mild weather in Autumn/Winter and warm in Spring/Summer allowing you to visit the city almost anytime of the year. Lisbon is particularly romantic in Autumn and cheerful in the Summer, where June is the month of the city annual festivities.
 
The best time to visit Lisbon is on Easter, on Christmas, on the April 25th (Freedom Day), on the May 1st (Labor's Day), on June 10th (Portugal's Day), on June 13th (St. Anthony's Day), and of course, during the summer, with the beatiful beaches only 20m away by car or train.
 
 
 
 
Praça d.pedro IV
Best known as Praça do Rossio, the Praça D. Pedro IV owes its name and statue as a tribute to King D. Pedro IV, first emperor of Brazil.

Located downtown, this is one of the main squares of Lisbon since the Middle Ages, having been the scenery of riots and popular festivals. Today it is the favorite meeting place both Lisbon residents and as tourists.

Sé de Lisboa
The Lisbon Cathedral, initially called Church of Santa Mary Major, was built over an ancient mosque in 1150 by the order of D. Afonso Henriques for the first bishop of Lisbon, the English crusader Gilbert of Hastings.

Praça do Comércio

The Praça do Comércio, usually known for Terreiro do Passo, due to the fact that it was the residency of the portuguese kings for more than two centuries.

Located in downtown Lisbon, along the river Tagus it is one of the biggest squares in Europe.
 
Ascensor da Glória
First opened in 1885, the Ascensor da Glória was built by the engineer Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard and is one of the busiest funiculars in Lisbon, carrying more than 3 million passengers per year.

This funicular connects the Praça dos Restauradores to Bairro Alto (nightlife district).

Torre de Belém
The Tower of Belem is one of the most significant monuments of the reign of King Manuel I and had the strategic function of defending the Lisbon's bar.

The Lisbon Oceanarium is a marine biology museum located at Parque das Nações and was built as part of Expo 98.

Mosteiro dos Jerónimos
Fundamental work of Manuelina architecture, the Jeronimos Monastery was commissioned by King Manuel I, soon after Vasco da Gama returned from his trip to India.

Convento do Carmo
Was the Lisbon's main gothic church, following the medicant model of the buildings of the thirteenth century however it is in ruins since the 1755 earthquake.

Castelo de São Jorge
The current name comes from the devotion of the castle to St George, patron saint of knights and the Crusades, made ​​by King John I in the fourteenth century.
